The rear cargo area in the Jeep® Grand Cherokee lets you configure your interior for more space when needed. Each side of the 60/40 split rear seat folds forward and reclines individually so you can customize your interior for passenger and cargo carrying needs. For extra-long cargo, the available fold-flat front passenger seat does exactly that—folds flat out of the way.
Jeep® Grand Cherokee offers three available 4×4 systems—Quadra-Trac I®, Quadra-Trac II® and Quadra-Drive® II. So if you just need to tackle rough weather or you’re the ultimate off-roader, Grand Cherokee can handle it.
Grand Cherokee can tow a Best-in-Class maximum towing capacity of up to 7,400 pounds. The Trailer Sway Control (TSC) feature reduces trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds, traffic and improper weight distribution on the trailer. When an excessively swaying trailer is recognized by the system, TSC automatically kicks into action.
With this technology, included with the 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine, when the vehicle brakes to a stop, fuel flow is cut and the engine turns off. When the brakes are released, the engine restarts.
This available system alerts you when it senses potential frontal impact. If you don’t respond and the risk continues, the system will automatically engage the brakes.
With the available Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist10, Grand Cherokee can practically park itself. Once it identifies a suitable parking space, the system directs the driver with audible instructions that also appear in the Driver Information Cluster Display. The driver controls the gear position, brake and accelerator while the guidance system controls the steering wheel.
The available Uconnect® 9-1-1 Call will immediately summon emergency help and a call to Uconnect Roadside Assistance will provide vehicle support when situations demand it. A touch of either button puts you in direct contact.
The available Blind Spot Monitoring System9 helps you make safer lane changes by alerting you when a vehicle enters your blind spot zone. Sensors scan approximately one lane over on each side. When a sensor detects a vehicle in the blind spot zone, you can program it to alert you with an illuminated icon in the corresponding exterior mirror and an audible chime.
